At Veteran Pathways of New England (formerly Clear Path for Veterans New England), the Veteran Peer-to-Peer Support and Mentoring Program helps Veterans successfully transition from military to civilian life through connection, encouragement, mentorship, and community support.
We believe the strongest support often comes from someone who truly understands the military experience. Through shared experiences and peer connection, Veterans are empowered to overcome challenges, build confidence, and create meaningful relationships that support long-term personal and professional growth.
Whether a Veteran is navigating career changes, rebuilding stability, seeking community, or simply looking for someone who understands, our program provides a supportive environment where no one has to face life’s challenges alone.
Veteran Pathways of New England (formerly Clear Path for Veterans New England), in partnership with Soldier On, is proud to offer affordable housing for Veterans at 10 and 14 Bates Street in Devens, Massachusetts. These fully renovated 3-bedroom apartments offer 1,600 square feet of living space with brand-new appliances and all utilities included in the rent—heat, hot water, electricity, and internet. With rental subsidies accepted, this housing opportunity provides more than just shelter—it delivers a full spectrum of supportive services for Veterans, including case management, telehealth access, transportation, meals, employment assistance, and financial education. This collaboration ensures that Veterans, including those who are at risk or transitioning from homelessness, have access to stable housing and the tools they need to thrive.
Building Community and Connection
The Veteran Peer-to-Peer Support and Mentoring Program creates opportunities for Veterans to connect with peers who share similar experiences, goals, and challenges. Through group mentoring sessions, networking opportunities, workshops, and community activities, participants build supportive relationships rooted in trust, understanding, and shared service.
The program encourages Veterans to strengthen leadership skills, rebuild confidence, and develop lasting connections that extend beyond the program itself. Every relationship built helps strengthen the Veteran community throughout New England.
Mentorship and Personal Growth
Our mentoring model focuses on encouragement, accountability, and practical support tailored to each Veteran’s unique needs. Participants gain access to career resources, educational opportunities, volunteer experiences, and wellness-focused programs designed to support personal and professional development.
By working alongside fellow Veterans and trusted community partners, participants receive guidance and access to valuable resources that help reduce isolation, improve well-being, and support successful reintegration into civilian life.
Support Through Shared Experience
Peer support plays a critical role in helping Veterans feel understood, connected, and supported. Veterans in the program can openly share experiences, challenges, and successes with others who understand military life firsthand.
These connections often grow into lifelong friendships and support systems that continue well beyond formal mentoring activities. Together, Veterans help one another move forward with strength, resilience, and purpose.
