Our History
Veteran Pathways of New England (Veteran Pathways NE) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in 2017, dedicated to providing a safe, supportive, and respectful environment where Veterans can heal, reconnect, and thrive. Located on the historic Devens campus, Veteran Pathways NE helps Veterans seamlessly reintegrate into their communities through a holistic network of programs designed to restore purpose, foster connection, and build resilience.
One of our proudest milestones is the Journey Home Capital Project, completed in 2020. This transformative initiative revitalized a historic 22,000-square-foot building that once served as a U.S. Army Headquarters and Hospital. The renovation expanded our capacity to serve the Veteran community, creating a vibrant hub for healing, wellness, and community engagement.
- Community Meals & Events – fostering camaraderie and connection among Veterans and their families.
- Wellness Services – addressing mental, emotional, and physical well-being through fitness, holistic therapies, and peer support.
- Housing & Family Support – providing stability and assistance for Veterans facing housing insecurity or family challenges.
- K9 Service Dog Training & Support – pairing trained service dogs with Veterans to enhance independence and improve quality of life.
- Community Engagement & Volunteering – creating meaningful opportunities for Veterans and civilians to connect and serve together.
